Power Phos is a novel adsorbent based on iron hydroxide, which safely removes phosphates and silicates from the aquarium cycle. These pollutants are firmly bound to the surface of the power phos and not released again.

With Power Phos the nutrient content of the aquarium can be kept very low.

Undesirable algae growth is effectively prevented and corals can develop their natural colors.

Application and dosage:

Please always make changes to the aquarium carefully!

At the beginning, use 100 ml per 300 liters of water.
After 5 days you can increase the amount up to 150 ml. Per 300 liters of water.
Check the PO4 content regularly, e.g. with our PO4 test kit.
It is not advisable to use PowerPhos at lowest PO4 levels.
If the PO4 content increases again, swap PowerPhos for fresh material.
Do not use more than 200 ml per 300 liters of water
We recommend to place the material between two layers of cotton wool, filter bag or in a fluidized bed filter. There it unfolds its best effect.
PowerPhos is best for fresh and sea water.
The material can heat up in the water.
A red color of the water is normal due to the fines and disappears within a short time. This red color is harmless
PowerPhos should not be washed out.
